From April 2005 the proposed changes are: Nurseries: No notice inspections will commence. A new grading scale and the introduction of a self-assessment system. Note that these are proposals. The structure and methods of delivery are currently under review. |

| Ofsted Regional Office changes - reported Nov 23rd 2004 | ||
|
Plans are announced to reduce the current regional inspection offices down to three; Bristol, Nottingham and Manchester. Other offices will close between September 2005 and March 2006. It is stated by the Chief Inspector of Schools that "...home-based inspection workforce will remain a strong presence on the ground and in local areas". |
